PuddleDancer Press wishes to
spread the word about NVC as widely as possible by giving away books at our cost, and sometimes for free. Our goal is to provide NVC books/materials to
key decision-makers, other influential people, and to attendees
of major like-minded events or conferences. In rare cases we may provide the books free of charge, Usually, to offset the
costs of providing the books/booklets, we ask you to pay
for actual costs of producing the books and shipping expenses.
It's our hope that when people of influence support NVC,
they can in turn promote NVC to hundreds more in their group,
organization or community.
We'd enjoy your support in creating relationships with decision-makers in your community!
Here's the partnership we'd enjoy:
- Identify a person of influence in your community who does not yet know about NVC. OR Identify a major like-minded national or international event or conference that will be attended by people of influence and decision makers.
Our hope is that the individual or event/conference you choose has the potential to expose NVC to a larger group of people. For ideas on target audiences/groups and how we define a person of influence READ OUR TIPS: download as either  or 
- Complete the Promotional Giveaway Request Form.
If you request is approved, we will then send instructions for paying for the materials and shipping them to you (or simply send them to you if we are providing them free of charge). To identify the materials that you believe will resonate most with your contact, review our Publications page.
- In a one-on-one meeting, share the concept of NVC with your contact. Leave the books/booklets with them.
Use our Supplemental Materials and a Campaign Cover Letter to provide a clear link between their mission and the NVC process, and to outline your specific requests related to the giveaway. Also, request that if they enjoy what they've read, to consider sharing the enclosed NVC materials with others in their organization.
- Complete our Promotional Give-Away Feedback Form.
We request that in exchange for receiving the giveaway books/booklets, that
you complete our online feedback survey. A reminder of our request and a link
to the online survey will be emailed to you within a short time of receipt
of the free materials. The information we receive from you will help us measure
the effectiveness of this promotion strategy.
SUPPLEMENTAL PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS:
One of the key components of the NVC process is making clear requests - please be sure to partner your book/booklet giveaway with a clear request provided in a customized cover letter. Please be sure your cover letter provides clarity of your intention of the giveaway (such as: please review the enclosed materials over the next few weeks; please read and distribute this book to 2-3 colleagues; etc).
In addition to adapting one of the sample campaign cover letters below, please partner your giveaway with the following materials:
- Information on upcoming learning opportunities - this could be a flyer/brochure/newsletter outlining upcoming area workshops, connection to an area NVC group/organization or trainer, information on starting a practice group, etc.
